Meningitis Vaccination Clinic

Connecticut state law requires meningitis vaccination for all students living in university-owned housing.

Students wishing to reside in University owned housing must submit one of the following:

The deadline for new students to submit the Meningitis Immunization Form is prior to moving into the residence halls. Check-in will not be permitted if you have not provided proof of immunization or requested an exemption.

To assist students in meeting this immunization requirement, the University of Connecticut Student Health Services will be sponsoring a Meningitis Vaccination Clinic.

When/Where

• New Students - Friday, August 22 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Wilbur Cross Building, South Reading Room
• New & Returning Students - Sunday, August 24 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Student Health Services

Cost

• $130 (fee can be placed on the Student Fee Bill or paid at the time of service)

What to bring

• Your UCONN Student ID Card
• Signed consent, if under 18 years of age (see reservation form)

• Your Health Insurance Card

  If you are covered by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HealthNet or Chickering (University-sponsored plan), we will bill claims directly to your insurance. These are the only carriers that we will bill directly. Your insurance card must be presented at the clinic. For other insurance plans, please check with your insurance company regarding reimbursement and covered service.
